BNUBS Held Young Teachers Development Exchange Meeting & Kick-off Training for the 20th Young Teachers Teaching Competition of the University

On May 6, 2026, Beijing Normal University Business School (BNUBS) hosted a Young Teachers Development Exchange Meeting as well as the kick-off training session for the 20th BNU Young Teachers Teaching Competition. The event aimed to guide and motivate young teachers to pursue excellence and achieve all-round development. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS; Sun Zhijun, Party Secretary; Associate Dean Jiang Jie and Associate Dean Hu Conghui,together with more than ten young teachers attended the meeting, which was presided over by Yang Dan, Associate President of the School Trade Union.

In his opening remarks, Dean Qi Yudong stated that as a vital new force driving the school’s development, young teachers should plan their career paths from a long-term academic perspective, and strive to become outstanding teachers with superb teaching skills, remarkable research achievements and solid practical capabilities. He also hoped all young teachers would unite as one to boost the school’s development, and wished them every success in the teaching competition.

During the discussion session, participants conducted in-depth exchanges on issues closely related to career growth, including professional title promotion, talent cultivation, research project application and the school’s future development. In the training segment for the teaching competition, Associate Dean Jiang Jie first gave a detailed introduction to the history and specific requirements of the BNU Young Teachers Teaching Competition. Afterwards, Associate Professor Li Kun, winner of the Second Prize in the 11th Beijing Municipal University Young Teachers Teaching Competition and the First Prize in the 16th BNU Young Teachers Teaching Competition, shared her experience and insights on competition preparation and participation.

Party Secretary Sun Zhijun delivered the concluding speech. He noted that BNUBS attaches great importance to the development of young teachers. Taking part in the teaching competition is an important way for young teachers to enhance their ability to foster virtue and nurture talents as well as improve teaching competency. He encouraged young teachers to uphold the standards of four-good teachers, improve teaching through competitions, learn from each other, and forge ahead toward becoming distinguished educators in the new era.
