Three textbooks of the School were Selected in the List of National Planning Textbooks for General Undergraduate Higher Education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period

Recently, the Ministry of Education released the list of National Planning Textbooks for General Undergraduate Higher Education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Three textbooks of our School have been successfully selected, demonstrating the profound accumulation and remarkable achievements of the School in textbook development and talent cultivation.

The development of national planning textbooks is an important measure to implement the strategic positioning that "textbook development is a matter of state power", and a core carrier for addressing the fundamental question of "what kind of people to train, how to train them, and for whom to train them".The development of planning textbooks during the 14th Five-Year Plan period aims to create a number of high-quality textbooks that foster morality, strengthen conviction, enlighten wisdom and enhance competence. It plays a vital role in building a philosophy and social sciences system with Chinese characteristics and serving strategic emerging fields and urgently needed majors in high demand by the country.

In recent years, in response to the overall arrangements for textbook development made by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Normal University, the School has closely aligned with national strategies and disciplinary frontiers, systematically promoted textbook compilation and revision, and continuously improved supporting and incentive mechanisms, thus fostering a favorable environment for the production of high-level textbooks.The selection of three textbooks this time is a testament to the School’s long-term commitment to teaching reform and emphasis on connotation-oriented development.Taking this opportunity, the School will continue to advance textbook development, strive to create more high-quality textbooks with Chinese characteristics and international standards, and provide solid support for cultivating high-quality economic and management talents with both moral integrity and professional competence.
