To thoroughly learn cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation concepts, deepen exchanges and cooperation with top-tier innovation institutions, and broaden horizons for scientific research and talent cultivation, faculty and students from BNUBS, paid a visit to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Technology Innovation Center on the afternoon of April 14, 2026. Led by Qi Yudong, Dean of the School, and Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee, more than 30 participants including faculty Party members and trainees of the 20th training session of the secondary Party School took part in the activity.

As China’s first comprehensive national technology innovation center, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Technology Innovation Center serves as a key component of the national strategic scientific and technological force. It has achieved remarkable results in advancing disruptive innovation, leading coordinated innovation across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and cultivating innovative professional talents.

First, the visiting group toured the center’s exhibition hall. With detailed explanations from staff members, teachers and students gained a systematic understanding of the center’s mission, strategic positioning and important role in the national innovation system. In the disruptive achievement exhibition area, participants focused on breakthrough outcomes in the fields of life health and advanced manufacturing. In life health, cutting-edge technologies such as miniaturized multiphoton microscopes for deep brain imaging and the bionic maintenance system for isolated living organs provide new solutions for disease diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. In advanced manufacturing, innovative products including filters and aerial interactive floating imaging systems offer new approaches to tackling key technical challenges at home and abroad. These achievements reflect the center’s innovation logic of seizing opportunities through scientific advancement and building strengths driven by practical demands, enabling teachers and students to directly perceive the industrial value of technological transformation.

Subsequently, an exchange seminar was held between the two sides. Liu Yang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei National Technology Innovation Center, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the center’s development history, innovation layout and key research achievements. Qi Yudong, Dean of the School, expressed gratitude for the hospitality and presented an overview of the School’s progress in discipline development, talent training and industry-university-research collaborative innovation.

In the final session, teachers and students conducted in-depth discussions with the center’s administrators on major national strategic needs, cultivation of scientific and technological achievements, innovative talent training, and coordinated innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

This visit enabled all participants to deeply recognize the strong momentum and strategic value of scientific and technological innovation. It further enhanced their understanding of frontier technologies, regional coordinated development and in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, while broadening academic vision and clarifying research orientations. All teachers and students stated that they would translate the insights gained from this visit into practical actions for exploring frontiers and serving national development. Relying on the disciplinary strengths of economics and management, they will leverage professional expertise to boost the development of new quality productive forces and contribute youthful energy and professional capabilities to building a country strong in science and technology.
