The Turning 60 for a New Start: Report on the Six-Dimensional Capital of China’s Silver Generation  was released for the first time on site, and the "Silver Age Set Sail" training program was officially launched, marking the first time that a Chinese university has systematically responded to the value re-evaluation proposition of the "Positive Aging Era" through an interdisciplinary platform.

The forum kicked off with a speech by Professor Qi Yudong. Professor Qi pointed out that Beijing Normal University has two A+ disciplines—Psychology and Education—as well as the collaborative advantages of six colleges including Economics and Management, and Law. This forum focuses on the value awakening of the silver-age population, rather than traditional elderly care. It will integrate multidisciplinary empirical research tools to build a value model that can be self-inventoried, iteratively planned and intergenerationally inherited.

Associate Professor Xu Zhixing, Director of the Program, released the Turning 60 for a New Start: Report on the Six-Dimensional Capital of China’s Silver Generation on site. For the first time, the report transforms the six dimensions of health, finance, relationships, mindset, strategy and brand from subjective feelings into a measurable system. Based on the first batch of 2,500 self-assessment data of highly educated groups, it establishes a six-dimensional capital baseline for Chinese people aged 50-65, providing a reference for subsequent longitudinal tracking research.

In the morning session of the forum, special sharing sessions were held. Professor Yang Chengyu, Professor Wang Dahua and Associate Professor Zhu Pengcheng shared their views on themes such as health investment and financial capital, the compound effect of mental capital, and the construction of personal brand capital respectively; Ms. Xiao Yan shared the practical path of the theoretical model in silver-age communities from an industrial perspective. After the special sharing, host Bai Lanlan held a roundtable dialogue with the above four speakers around the theme of "Pathways for Value Reconstruction of Highly Educated Silver-Age Individuals". Participants exchanged and discussed issues such as intergenerational communication, personal brand building, and talent training in silver-age related industries.

In the industrial practice session, General Manager Zheng Qiang, Chairman Liu Jing and Deputy General Manager Guo Yilin shared their practical explorations in the fields of silver-age education, technological achievement transformation and smart elderly care respectively, providing market verification for the six-dimensional capital model.

At the end of the forum, Xu Zhixing officially launched the "Silver Age Set Sail" training program. As the first national value reconstruction program for highly educated silver-age groups in China, the program sets 12 courses, adopts a small-class teaching model of 25 people, is equipped with a 50,000-yuan seed fund and lifelong community services, and is oriented to highly educated people aged 45-65 and children who care about their parents’ development. It also launches policies such as early-bird price, group purchase price and special discounts for Beijing Normal University alumni.

With the core philosophy of "Turning 60 for a New Start: Not Retirement, but a Reboot", BNUBS responds to the national strategy of actively addressing population aging in the form of academic public welfare. It provides highly educated silver-age groups with a complete tool from value awakening to value co-creation, and also provides a new practical path for the reconstruction of intergenerational relations.
