On January 16, 2026, the First Party Branch of Finance of the Business School of Beijing Normal University (BNUBS) convened the 2025 Annual Organizational Life Meeting. Cheng Jianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, attended to provide guidance. The meeting was presided over by Chen Shuyan, Secretary of the Party Branch.

Chen Shuyan introduced the basic situation of the First Party Branch of Finance and reported on the branch work for 2025. As a vertically-established Party branch for the Finance major, the First Party Branch of Finance currently has 22 Party members including undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students. Throughout the year, it carried out 9 General Party Member Meetings, 15 meetings of the Branch Committee, 5 Thematic Party Days, 6 Party Lectures, and organized 12 sessions of thematic theoretical study, fortifying the ideological position through high-quality organizational life. The branch strictly implemented the rectification of problems identified in the 2024 review. Through special training and incorporating basic Party building knowledge into the assessment of development targets, the branch further improved the comprehensive literacy of its Party members. By organizing branch members to take turns giving Party lectures and doing exercises, the effectiveness of theoretical study was enhanced, injecting "Red momentum" into the cultivation of financial professionals.

Subsequently, all Party members earnestly carried out criticism and self-criticism. Everyone actively spoke focusing on existing problems, conducted profound analysis combining their own performance in ideology, study, and daily life, and put forward sincere criticism and constructive suggestions to each other, achieving the goals of unifying thinking, building consensus, enhancing solidarity, and making common progress.

Cheng Jianping fully affirmed this organizational life meeting and the branch work. He pointed out that all work of the branch has been promoted solidly, the self-criticism by branch members was serious and profound, and mutual criticism addressed specific persons and specific matters. It contained both candid goodwill reminders and sharp, "spicy" confrontations, achieving the goal of making faces turn red and sweat break out, enhancing unity, and improving work. Combining his own experience, Cheng Jianping emphasized the importance of financial work to national development and security, exhorting all student Party members to deeply understand and grasp the political nature and people-centered nature of finance during their university years and to strictly abide by basic professional ethics. Finally, Cheng Jianping put forward earnest expectations for Party branch construction, hoping that the branch can further consolidate the ideological consensus of Party members, innovate activity forms, strive for enthusiasm, appeal, and effectiveness, and give full play to the fighting fortress role of the Party branch and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members.

This organizational life meeting was not only a serious practice of inner-Party political life but also a vivid lesson in financial ideological and political education. Members of the branch expressed that they will keep in mind the earnest expectations of Secretary Cheng Jianping, continuously strengthen their sense of responsibility, strive to become new-era financial talents with ideals, daring to take responsibility, able to endure hardship, and willing to struggle, and practice the original mission of "People's Finance" with professional capabilities.
