Amid the cold winter yet filled with deep affection and warmth, as the 2026 Chinese Bingwu Year of the Horse approaches, the leading administrative and Party members of BNUBS, together with the School Labor Union, visited and extended festive greetings to the School’s retired faculty members.

President Qi Yudong, Secretary Sun Zhijun, and other School leaders paid visits respectively to retired faculty members Cheng Shuli, Zhan Junzhong, Zheng Peiquan, Bai Aizhu, Wang Shanmai, Peng Yanguang, Shi Juying, Xing Wenying, Shen Yue, Bai Baoli, as well as Liu Qiutong, widow of Professor Wang Tongxun. During the visits, School leaders held cordial conversations with the retired teachers, kindly inquired about their health and daily life, learned about their practical needs, and briefed them on the recent progress and development of the School.

The retired teachers expressed their gratitude for the School’s care, and felt delighted and affirmed by the achievements the School has made in recent years in teaching, research, and discipline development. They stated that they would continue to follow and support the work of the School, and wished the School even greater progress in the future.

This visit and consolation activity strengthened communication and ties between the School and its retired faculty, and made the elderly teachers feel the warmth and care of the School. The School will continue to carry forward the fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, unite and gather strength, and jointly promote the development of all undertakings of the School.
